This comprehensive, introductory class is taught through a combination of demonstrations and hands-on elements to provide the basics of baking sourdough bread.

Learn how to mix dough by hand, as well as lessons on sourdough starter and maintenance, and practice how to shape and score loaves.

You will receive a starter, and necessary tools: a bowl/bench scraper, a scoring tool (lame), a proofing basket with liner, and a bowl cover. You will also go home with dough for two loaves to finish and bake at home. (A Dutch oven at home is recommended for optimal results.)

This class will be held at the The Daily Bread Sourdough Bakery In Pickens, SC.
